Hi Amy, I found that by going to the Goat Pen and searching under 
the word "encyclopedia" you come up with a list of sites. The first 
one is an Ananova site with an interview dated 12/24/01, in which 
JKR speaks of the "eighth book".  The url is 
www.ananova.com/entertainment/story/sm_480162.html although if you 
click on that, you still have to find the interview date for some 
reason.  This interview also seems to be the one stating that Harry 
will take a further interest in Hermione in future books.  IIRC that 
portion was de-bunked, though, so I hope that at least the eighth 
book part is accurate although at this point I'd happily settle for 
book 5 sometime before the end of the decade.
