I can help here.  My US hardback version is a bit earlier.  In that
scene Harry's father comes out first, with his father telling him to
hold on because his mother wants to see him.  In subsequent versions
the order has been reversed so Lily comes out first and tells Harry
to hang on for his father.

Iirc, in early November, 2000, on the 13th printing, the change was made, although there may b e some random 14th and 15th printings with the original version.

I think we still have both in the files section, scanned in. And there was an article in Salon - salon.com - about it as well. Go there and search for Harry Potter Wand.
