I say:

Well even if Hogwarts (the castle) is unplottable, is Hogsmeade? If not, Sirius spent seven years at Hogwarts, and we don't know if he did any sort of work at the school after graduation, so I'm sure he'd be able to find his way back from Hogsmeade, especially since he knows about the shreiking shack passage.
