On the Snapes death thread:
I couldnt imagine Snape biting it in this book. Hes
hands-down the most complex and intriguing character
in the entire series. Hes always been fascinating,
but after GOF I would rather the next three books be
about him than Harry. Theres way too much to tell
about that man to kill him off anytime soon. My
moneys on Hagrid, and good riddance.
On poor Fleur:
<Richelle
What on earth are Fleur's qualifications for the DADA
job? Surely *some* experience is requiredI can't
quite see the use of someone who has nothing but looks
going for her.>
Now I think that Fleur would be a ridiculous and
nonsensical choice for DADA teacher as well, but
nothing but looks? Ouch! I cant understand why
everyone on this list is so harsh on poor Fleur. So
she came in last in the tournament, but she was is in
wasnt she? She was the best that of the best
wizarding schools in Europe had to offer. That must
mean something. (Also, see recent posts about her
talent with charms.)
Just because the poor girls beautiful doesnt mean
shes an idiot. In fact, canon explicitly states
otherwise. I imagine Fleur showing up in a
student-teacher/TA type role, possibly with Flitwick.
Echa, who would love to see Fleur reveal an
as-yet-unknown talent for potions and TA with Snape.
Could you imagine what he'd make of his students
ogling her instead of paying attention to their
potions? It just might send him over the edge.
