Does it really matter what the differences are? I mean the same idea is 
getting acrossed to us. I'm an American, I have a British friend who has the 
British version.  And not much is changed Jumper=shirt, cupbord=closet, 
Trainer=shoe.  But it doesnt really matter to me I enjoy the story whether I 
read the American version or the British version.  The only thing that irks 
me is that our publishers who translated it changed the title.  I do in fact 
know what a philsopher is.  The publishers here thought that kind of title 
wouldn't sell because it dosent sound exciting enough.  I actually think 
Philsoper's Stone is a cooler title then Sorcecer's Stone.  But that's just 
my opinion.
