Just a short note to regarding giving Molly a break:

Of course nobody is perfect! And I don't see Molly as a
horrible parent at all, just sometimes thoughtless.

Maybe there should be some sort of middle ground.

It seems people see things either entirely as "Molly's
fault" or entirely as Ron's, claiming it's just in his
personality that he always needs something to complain
about.

But reality is probably that it's a mix of both.

When Ron is older, he may see things in a different light,
but at his age, most kids are still very self centered and
just see everything regarding how it affects them
personally.
