My relatively new (it was an X-mas gift) US hardbound copy of GoF
has Lily coming out of the wand first and has Fudge saying "...I've
never heard of a curse car acting as an alarm bell.."
It seems as if the additions differ by UK/US editions, edition
number, and HB/PB. What a mess. How are we supposed to make
complicated theories when the editions very so much? The inclusion
or omision of the word never radically changes the meaning of a
passage, and the order that Lily and James come out of the wand
would seem to be very important. ARGH!!!
