This is the third time I've had to try and post this reply so I'm 
sorry if the point has been made in the meantime.
Anyway, I find this idea really interesting. The first person who 
sprang to mind was Moaning Myrtle.  She does a lot of hanging around 
there on the bottom of the lake, you never know what could have been 
dropped accidently/purposely, that would prove very useful to Harry.  
Apart from the fact that we all know that she has a bit of a thing 
for our hero!! However, I dont think that Harry's wand will be broken 
or lost.  There's been too much stress put on its importance for it 
not to be there in the final showdown between Harry and V.
