Actually all we know is that he was 665 when that book was written.  Since we 
don't know when the book was written, we only know that he's *at least* 665.  
He could be far older, since the book could be very old.  

Or, since this is the wizarding world, perhaps the book magically updates 
everyone's age automatically.  Why else would a book publish ages (which become 
obsolete almost immediately) rather than birth years?
