As I see handling of the matter of Sirius telling Snape how to get
past the Whomping Willow, Snape going in there in order to get one of
the Marauders expelled, ending up in *big* trouble - but being saved
by James Potter.
Sirius' part... we're supposed to hear him first and place judgements
then. Withheld judgement until you hear the whole story. Innocent
until proven guilty, right? And I don't like the word 'prank' here
either. We don't know what Sirius was thinking before, during and
after the matter. He seems to be blaming Snape for it...
In all other cases of rule-breaking we *are* shown the motives and
actions of *both* sides.
