I am not so sure. Hermione has also: set a teacher on fire, 
stolen controlled substances, drugged two of her fellow 
students, and kidnapped a newspaper reporter. I don't think 
she'd ever be a Death Eater, but she could easily become one of 
those people whose fight against the dark side brings out the 
worst part of them.  If she's planning to become an auror I really 
hope she becomes a bit less impetuous first. As matters stand, I 
don't think I'd trust her with the Imperius Curse.
