Cedric is 17 in time for the Goblet of Fire, but he is only in his 
sixth year.  PA 8 describes him as a fifth-year student (it's when 
Harry is alone in the common room, having been awoken early by Peeves 
the day of the Hufflepuff match).  So some students turn 18 at the 
start of their 7th year, even though Harry will only be just 17.

Still, we don't *know* the years of all (any?) of the Chasers, so 
there could be a spot.  Eclipse, are you thinking of trying out for 
it?  <g>
