My money is on Hermione becoming a worm feast. Always has been. JKR 
has stated that the death would be difficult to write, and what 
could be more difficult than writing the death of the character that 
she has patterned after herself? Also, the death of Hermione need 
not be the DEMISE of Hermione....Remember Myrtle? Didn't JKR also 
say something about explaining the origins of ghosts in this one?
