Weasley Economics

Ok, I apologize if this is a duplicate, but the post has not shown up after 
an hour, and the one right before it showed up immediately.


How long have the Weasley's been poor? How much longer will they be poor? 
and Why doesn't Molly work? Surely with just 2 children (Bill and Charlie) 
the Weasley's were probably comfortable. The middle children are the ones 
with the brunt of "hard times", but shouldn't those be lightening up now? 
Especially by book 6 when even the twins are out of school and Molly and 
Arthur only have 2 children to care for. Even in book 4 their load got 
lighter because percy got his own job. I will really be disappointed if JKR 
keeps on with the "Poor Ron" thing much longer because it won't make sense. 
Also, why doesn't Molly get a job if the family is so strapped for cash? ALL 
of her kids are either out of the house or away at school 9 to 10 months out 
of the year? What does she do with her time? This is just my little issua 
that I hope will be addressed in the books.
