Me:

I think this is a common misconception thanks to TMWSNBM.(where it
just shows a *floating* thing) In the book SS/PS Quirrell makes it
clear that it's him in the forest drinking the unicorns blood. Oops,
sorry, it's VOLDEMORT who makes it clear :o)

SS/PS p 293:

Voldemort speaking
*snip*
"See what I have become?" the face said. "Mere shadow and
vapor . . . I have form only when I can share another's body . . .
but there have always beeen those willing to let me into their hearts
and minds. . . . Unicoren blood has strengthened me, these past
weeks . . . you saw faithful Quirrell drinking it for me in the
forest . . ."
*snip*

So it's Quirrell who drinks the blood here. But nevertheless, it is
blood drinking. And I mentioned just a few messages ago that I do
believe that somehow Voldemort is a vampire and this is how he's not
dead from all this. I think it's one of the *many* protections he
mentions he took to secure that he would have life still.
