Now me:
Here are some definitions, IMO, of the following terms:  Pure-blood:  
examples-the Weasleys, the Malfoys-these are  Wizard families with NO 
muggle blood in their family tree.  Half-blood:  examples-Harry 
Potter, Tom Riddle- witches/wizards who have ONE muggle (Tom's 
father) OR muggle-born parent (Lily Potter).  Muggle-Born (aka 
mudblood):  examples Hermione Granger, Lily Potter- Witches/Wizards 
who have NO magical heritage.  IMO, by this definition, Tom Riddle 
could not be classified as a mudblood/muggle-born wizard.
