I think it's what happens when a really good writer is working under
massive pressure to meet a deadline (Is she thinking of herself when she
talks about the unobligingly rapid passage of time towards "something
unpleasant"?)... I think that's why she's taking her sweet time with
Book 5 -- to make sure the plot is water-tight.
