I think this also, she must be totally exasperated every time she has to explain this, and a little embarrassed also.

Ah, but I do think she is taking away, because when she appears at 
Hogwarts in GoF, she has moved beyond simply sharing with Harry what 
she gives to Ron. She (and Bill, too) are there entirely for Harry, 
and Ron doesn't even know about it. 

On this note, I think that the only reason Ron doesn't know about this is because it supposed to be a surprise. As close as they are, if they had told Ron, you can be sure that Harry would have found out.
