Secrets known only to the inner circle of James, Sirius, Peter, and
Remus were being leaked to Voldemort and because James and Sirius
were such good friends, that left Peter and Remus as a possible spy.
I think they saw Peter as to weak and frightened to be working for
Voldemort, leaving Remus as the spy. Thats why Sirius picked Peter
and not Remus to keep the secret. Just my thought.
