Molly metions(though for the life of me I can't remember where) that
most of the clothes she buys Ron are maroon because she thinks they
bring out his eyes. Harry's are green for the same reason. And with
seven children and a husband to shop for it's very considerate of her
to even think about what would look best on them, but like many well
intentioned mothers she probably goes overboard with the one color.
This also makes me believe that Ron's eyes are brown like Ginny's.
Maroon would bring brown eyes out better than green or blue eyes IMHO.
