The remarks that insult Harry's father- IMO, will never lose their 
power to hurt.  When the insults come from another child-I 
agree ,they will lose their punch over time.  But when an adult, 
takes these kinds of shots at you, IMO, they are harder to overcome.  
I guess what I am saying here is this:  I believe that when the time 
truly comes for Harry to work with Snape he will have more to 
overcome than the SS episode.
