snippet of info? 

I know there's been lots of speculation aboout Mrs. Figg's role in 
OoP, but I didn't realise JK had actually confirmed that her 
appointment as DADA teacher is indeed fact. 

Sorry if its old news to everyone else, I obviously just missed it 
somewhere along the way. 

Me:

In past interviews, JKR has revealed that there will be a female DADA
teacher in the next books, and also that Mrs Figg is the same
Arabella Figg mentioned at the end of GoF, and will show up in the
next books too. Only in the last interview, she said that the female
DADA teacher will actually be in book 5, The Order of the Phoenix.
But she has never said that the female teacher was going to be Mrs.
Figg.
