This is a very interesting suggestion.  Could it be that the loophole in 
the no-enchanting-muggle-artifacts law is that it does not apply to wizard 
manufactured items regardless of whether they LOOK like muggle items, but 
only to articles of original muggle manufacture that were later enchanted?
