Trelawney or Trelawny is a very famous Cornish name. So for Brits
Sybil Trelawney is automatically linked to the West Country. As the
little rhyme goes
'By Ros- Car- Lan-
Tre-, Pol- and Pen-
Ye shall know the Cornishmen.'
Meaning that names like Trelawney, Poldark and Penhaligon are
reliably those of Cornish people.
The Cornish National Anthem, the 'Song of the Western Men', has the
chorus:
"And have they fixed the where and when?
And shall Trelawny die?
Here's twenty thousand Cornish men
Will know the reason why!"
If you want all the words plus background I can put this up over in
Chatter.
