Well, it would certainly explain why Snape is always in such a bad
mood. :-)

However, it's possible that Snape's name was left out of the trial
reports and records.  If I was Dumbledore, and I found a guy to spy
for me at a time when reliable spies were scarce, I certainly would
try to make sure that he wasn't listed in any official records with a
little red "Spy" flag next to his name...
