Things we know:

(1)Their job is important to the story. (From interviews)

(2)They were living as muggles when Voldemort attacked.  (From the 
scene in the movie JKR wrote.)

(3)Voldemort used anti-muggle prejudice in his rise to power.  (From 
just about every book.)

(4)The Potters fought against Voldemort.  (First book)

Are these four things related?
