To go even further, I don't think there is any canon
that Sirius and Lupin were in Gryffindor, either.  I
actually read a fanfic somewhere in which Harry asks
Lupin about being in Gryffindor and Lupin replies,
"What made you think I was in Gryffindor?"

I'd appreciate any insights on this.

Christine, who visited the pronunciation guide at the
