I had just figured that once a far enough distance away, he would of
apparated to somewhere close to Hogsworth, swimming all that distance I
imagine would have been more tiring and draining than apparating in the long
run. Perhaps he swam for awhile, found somewhere to rest up and gather
strength, and then apparated to Hogsworth from there?
