I believe JKR mentioned in a recent interview (as in, the last few 
months) that the new DADA teacher will be female.

Hey, I just had a thought. DADA is an interesting acronym for this 
class, don't you think?  I wonder if that's been done on purpose (I'm 
going to guess probably).  After all, there must have been other 
things JKR could name the class besides Defence Against the Dark 
Arts...
