This American had heard of it before and even knew
that another name for it was the Magnum Opus. But then
again, I'm a geek who owns a copy of the (Oxford or
Cambridge, I can't remember which) History of
Chemistry. Now if only JKR would include a reference
to Phlogiston, the week I spent reading it will be
vindicated. ;)
