  Me:
  Well, I have a theory, we know DD had a "number of spies", Snape was one of them, but maybe there were some others among the DE who returned to LV that night. Maybe Snape reacted to the name of one of them, he must know them, he must know who the other spies were because they probably worked together. Just a thought, though.
