I was re-reading SS today and I came across the following passage:
Chapter Sixteen Through the Trapdoor Pg 262 US Edition
"In years to come, Harry would never quite remember how he had
managed to get through his exams when he half expected Voldemort to
come bursting through the door at any momemt.
Now I know that JKR has answered questions about Harry's life after
school with the "How do you know he lives" bit. But with this
passage did she let us know that yes he does live or is she just
talking about the years between leading up to his 7th year?
It made me think and I was wondering what you thought.
That's a very good observation Jean. I would take it as he did survive and was recalling all the times he had stayed calm while there was someone out there trying to murder you. And someone (can't remember who) mentioned that maybe HP would end with Harry waking up from a dream, this proves that Harry wasn't dreaming at all.
