Actually she said.

Couric: "Any snogging with Hermione?"

Rowling: "Harry and Hermione??? Do you think so?"

Couric: "No, I'm kidding."

Rowling: "RON and Hermione. There is more tension there, I would say."

So basically Rowling neither denied or confirmed the R/H or H/H 
ships. So we are basically back to square one on the issue of 
confirmation of the ships.
