That is indeed weird and I am your opinion that the fat lady has 
some hidden relevance that Harry doesn't know of yet.

Quite interesting as well, but I am not sure if Harry would have 
seen her in the mirror if she were an acestor of his, since the 
mirror was pretty crowded with people and that it would rather 
display his closer relations and his ancient ancestors. I`m not so 
sure though
