I hope a student for elementry school teaching is also okay... It 
has nothing to do with the IQ. When a child is about 5-7 years old 
children learn that when the same amount of icecream in diffrent 
sized bowls can be the same amount. Same is for a long, small piece 
of speculaas or a short wide piece. If you are really interested in 
this I would look up some work from the developmental psychologist 
Piaget. 

And I believe a regenerated Phoenix keeps all of his knowledge. 
Fawkes has his burning day in Chamber of Secrets. We have no clear 
fragments that say that he didn't keep his knowledge, while the most 
points indirectly that he does.
