The problem with this theory is that don't say anything we didn't know yet. If 
all the question in OoP is that Harry is the chosen one, I'll throw the book 
to Jo's head. I knew perfectly well before that Harry was the one, so, the 
prophecy, what for? Unless we can grab new information of it, the prophecy is 
useless (from a reader's POV).
