Others have added a lot to this thread, so I will try and keep it short.
When a country goes to war, do they send the king or the president to
fight it?
If George Bush wanted Saddam Hussien out of Iraq, why didn't he just
go over there and do it himself.
OK, even I admit that was a stupid example (ie:G.Bush), but it still
illustrates the point. The Kings, the Presidents, the General, and
evil overlords don't go into battle, they send the troops in.
