That sounds alive to me. I know Sirius said she *was* his favorite
cousin, but I think that's just because he hasn't seen her in years.
As far as her not being in the order, there could be several
reasons. Arthur wasn't in the order the first time. Several of the
teachers at Hogwarts don't appear to be in the Order even though
they know the situation and are on Dumbledore's side.
I don't think Andromeda would have been able to control Kreacher
though.
