I've also not heard anything that indicates other witches and wizards can regrow hair overnight without potions. Does this mean Harry has another hidden ability?

That would be hilarious... a power of Voldemort, transferred to Harry, is his amazing aptitude for cosmetics! I think it's just an example of wandless magic. Neville bounces. Harry blows up abusive aunts and regrows hair. It must go away eventually, unless he's *that* scared about his appearance.
