Why do you have a problem with it?  Sirius's family freaked when one 
of their own marrried a muggle-born, but he seems to have nothing 
against muggles.  She had an ancestor 1000 years ago that didn't 
trust muggle-borns.  That don't say anything at all about her.  She 
might have been a very nice person with no prejudices.
