Our pathetic earthly knowledge of chemistry and physics is horrible
incomplete. The atomic model for chemistry, which models atoms like
little solar systems, falls apart when you apply it to electronics. In
electronics to make our belief in physics work, we use the 'Tinker
Toy' model. I think the techinical name might be covalent bonds. (It's
been a while since I was in College.)
Even Einstein's Theory of Relativity is incomplete. Einstein spent
most if his life trying to resolve what I believe was called the
Unified Field Theory. The theory that resolves all the inconsistencies
of modern physics.
So, it could just as easily be that the wizard world has tapped into
the full potential of the physical world. A full potential that we are
mere muggles will not resolve for many many centuries.
It's just a thought.
