Funny you should mention this. I had the same idea
just the other day. This is one area where muggles are
more efficient, in writing instruments. Surely even
muggle haters such as Lucius Malfoy can see this. 

But quills do add to the atmosphere and give this
fantasy world wizard authenticity.
