I always thought that Aurors were maybe too obvious.  It just 
seems like whatever I think is going to happen, doesn't!  JKR 
has a great knack of doing that to readers!

But, you bring up a great point!  Why doesn't Harry ask about his 
parents?  Obviously the Dursley's didn't tell Harry anything about 
his parents, so shouldn't he be at least a little curious?  How did 
they leave him all that money?  They were part of the Order, but 
was that the only reason Voldy went after them 3 times? (other 
than the obvious reason of Harry)
