I envision their adult relationship as being exactly like that also. 
I did find a few instances in the book, specifically in chapter 14
where Hermaine says she is not going to let Ron copy from her homework
anymore and she's rather cool toward both Ron and Harry because they
go out to practice Quidditch instead.  But she looks up at Ron and
"her frostiness seemed to melt"..  And a little while later after he
gets that letter from Percy and tears it up, Hermione "was looking at
Ron with an odd expression on her face" and she ends up helping both
he and Harry.  Definitely a R/Hr shipping chapter!

Jacquie - really hoping for the R/Hr and H/G ships!
