I agree with you on that one. After all, Hermione, as you just said 
could well end up becoming the new minister of magic while Harry, at 
the same time, would become the new Dumbledore (after his killing by 
VD ?), following after him to the charge of Howart's director. 
Rowling may have stated that Harry was not to become a Hogwart 
teacher, but (to my knowledge) she didn't say that he couldn't be 
the  school's director... Just a thought.
