Me:
I feel for Neville as well, but I have another episode in mind. It's
the one when Harry learns about the state of Nevilles parents and
what happened to them (at the end of GoF). It must have been
traumatic for Harry to lose his parents, but if he had been raised by
warm people who loved him, his life could have been nice anyway.
Neville on the other hand has never had the opportunity to forget.
His parents are still alive, but never there for him. He can't turn
his back to the past and look forward. Every time he visits them he
is reminded of what happened.
