What if James isn't really his father?  What if he was charmed as a 
baby to always look like James - it would have to be powerful magic, 
but what if it was imperative to hide who his real father was?

A very wild thought... what if Snape was Harry's real father, but 
because of the prophesy he isn't able to raise his own son.  Not that 
I belive this is really a possibility, but it would have some 
interesting implications.
