Two reasons I cannot buy the rape scene.

#1. The average centaur would be appalled at the idea of mating with a 
human. They can't stand humans and it would be to them like mating with 
an animal.

#2. This is a children's book guys. There's NO WAY that they are going 
to include rape in it.  And even less chance of non-humans raping humans.

#3. Centaurs do have access to both magic and there are also many 
creatures they could go to for 'punishing Umbridge'.  They could tie her 
  up and leave her for the giant spiders for one.  That would unhinge 
most people pretty badly.
