That is a really excellent point. And it explains why Harry even got 
himself into some of these predicaments in the first place. A 
good part of it was curiosity, but it did come down to 
self-sacrifice. I think the other qualities you mention in  your post 
-- courage, love, and hope. --  all come into play. But it is the 
notion of giving yourself up for a greater good that brings all 
those qualities together. 

So, do you think Harry will ultimately sacrifice himself to bring 
down Voldemort? After all, the prophecy said that both can't 
survive, it didn't say they couldn't both perish.
