A bit of history I stumbled across:

"THE "WARRIOR QUEEN" UNDER PLATFORM 9
Boudica, or Boadicea, was a British queen who went to war against the 
Roman settlers. She destroyed the city of Londinium. She is said to be 
buried under platform 9 or 10 of King's Cross Station."

Like the fact that Nicolas Flamel was indeed a 'real person', who in the 
books turned out to be a wizard. Was Boudica also a Witch?  What 
significance is attached to her 'grave' being a 'doorway' to the 
Hoggwart's Express?
